Construction at Night

Work on the church building is in full swing now. Both night and day you can hear the ring of chisels and the thud of heavy stones. The architect has changed a few of the marks as we have progressed, but with each change the structure has improved.

It should be noted that as the walls have grown so has the danger of thin endeavor. On worker, fell from nearly the highest part of the wall. His tools and stone he was working with scattered when he hit the earth. The makers had must have been on him, though, because not a minute later he was gathering has things and went promptly back to work.

The painting I have enclosed this time is one of my favorites. It captures what the site looks like at night. You can see the torches along the ground, for the workers to see. You can see the ladder used to scale the wall on the right. You can just image what this church is going to look like when it is finally completed.
