In the Garden

I know it has been a while since I have last written, but I have become so taken with labor of the land, for a time, I had forgotten to lift my quill. By contrast the the negligence I have had in my duties, the painter has done some marvelous work. I am submitting one of my favorites with this parchment.

Since the last time I have written, the foundation have been completely placed. The first wall of the church has been started and many plants have grown up in the garden which will be beside the church. I think it is the smell of the flowers and grasses that comfort the painter, but he has spent much of his time within our new garden.

The painting submitted is from a couple days ago. The sun was at the highest point and workers had taken refuge for lunch. If you look closely you can almost see the dust on the freshly hewn blocks. The partial wall run north to south on the west side of the building.
